Disclosure of sustainability for SFDR art. 8 funds

SUMMARY

AGCM’s goal is to generate financial return to the investors of AGCM Fund with its sub-funds while promoting a sustainable development through the investments. Our approach is based on the belief that while aligning with goals and initiatives such as the Paris-agreement and UN Agenda 30, AGCM contributes to a more sustainable world and at the same time increases the risk-adjusted return to investors by selecting well-run companies which manage sustainability risks. AGCM seeks to invest in companies which have a positive contribution to a sustainable future and avoid companies which have a decisively negative impact on human health, the society, or the environment.

For more information, see the document "Sustainability disclosure for SFDR art. 8 fund".

"Principal Adverse Impact on Sustainability Factors"

Financial market participants shall according to article 4 of Regulation (EU) 2019/2088 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 November 2019 on sustainability-related disclosures in the financial sector publish and maintain on their websites information where they consider principal adverse impacts of investment decisions on sustainability factors.

AGCM does not consider PAIs on an entity level.

AGCM conducts investment management on behalf of Fund Management Companies. They are themselves subject to SFDR and publish, when applicable, information about PAI (on a product level) for the funds managed by AGCM. For information of the impacts of the investment decisions made by AGCM, reference is made to the data published for the respective fund.

AGCM considers PAI at the product level

AGCM Fund’s sub-funds Asia Growth Fund, China Stars Fund and Asia Dividend Fund consider Principal Adverse Impacts of investment decisions on sustainability factors, “PAI”, at the product level. These sub-funds were classified as article 8 funds on 25th October 2023 and now give account of PAI for the period 1 January – 31 December 2023 and a comparison with 2022.

The report is based on data from the portfolio companies sourced through Bloomberg. AGCM has increased the number of chosen PAI to report on for the above sub-funds where the Investment Manager thinks there is enough of reliable and quantifiable data to provide a fair and relevant picture of the consequences. The coverage of reported data is calculated as the holdings’, including cash. share of the total portfolio value for the respective sub-fund.
